Laser Treatment
The aesthetic medicine has witnessed a significant shift in the opinions of its seekers in recent years. A few decades ago, people would only seek an aesthetic treatment when they had a problem that is bothering them. Nowadays, aesthetic treatments have simply become a lifestyle. Many factors could be credited for that change. But above all, the technological breakthroughs in beauty treatments, especially in the laser treatment area, have arguably played the biggest role.

Since the first ever laser treatment in aesthetic medicine back in the late 80s, aesthetic treatments have become much more accessible to both the treating doctors and the patients seeking them. A laser treatment saves both the doctor and the patient a lot of time and effort. For instance, a surgical treatment could take the doctor double the time that a laser treatment would take, not to mention the higher level of focus it would require. A surgical treatment would also cost the patient more time after the session than a laser treatment would, due to the longer downtime it requires afterwards. Thus, it comes as no surprise that most aesthetic clinics now offer at least one laser treatment.

Whether you are seeking a skin laser treatment, a laser treatment for face, a laser acne treatment, or a laser treatment for scars, seeking such a treatment nowadays has become much easier than before. And although laser skin care is the first thing that comes to mind when talking about a laser treatment, laser has many other popular uses such as hair removal, skin tightening and body shaping. However, laser skin care remains one of the most popular treatments, probably due to the fact that most of the laser treatment results can be seen immediately after the session.

There are many factors that play a role in influencing a patient to seek a laser treatment. Apart from the obvious factor of having a skin problem, other factors such as age, gender, skin type, and skin exposure to sun all play a role. For instance, a boy in his late teenage years is more likely to seek an acne laser treatment than a boy of an older age, while a girl in her mid-twenties would probably seek a laser treatment for acne scars, if those scars were too visible on her face.

In recent years, skin laser treatments have become so popular and easy that many patients, particularly the younger generation, would seek these treatments on regular basis, especially prior to social events. That of course was made possible through the technological advancement of lasers which allowed quicker results, shorter sessions, and no downtime treatments. Patients now do not have to worry about post fractional laser treatment effects such as redness and swollen face, as the impact of laser treatment became gentler on the face. A couple of decades ago, a woman would have to take a week or so off work after having a laser session. These days, you could see a bride having a laser treatment such as Lasemd, which happens to be my favorite laser, on her wedding day.
